XOXOs of the Day
Real quick post today, but it was great to see the Mets finally play some inspired baseball yesterday. That was a nice win and great to see the team come charging out the gate. The big story of the day was Nick Evans' ML Debut. The kid had a phenomenal day going 3-4, with 3 2B, 2 RBI, R and 6 put-outs. He is only second player since 1950 to hit 3 doubles in his ML Debut.
His move from Binghamton came in a split-second and Nick was probably still in a whirlwind yesterday. But to make that kind of first impression, on the national stage no less, shows maybe there is a little talent to be proud of in our farm system.
Hats off to Nick! Welcome to the bigs! It couldn't have happened to a better kid, so for that he gets the XOXOs today!

Mets Call Up Evans
With the Mets all heading to the DL, it was only a matter of time before the Mets started to make some moves. Nick Evans was pulled from tonight's game in Binghamton during the ninth inning. Evans has the capability to play 1st base and left field. Evans will fly to Denver in Saturday morning to meet up with the team.
The 22-yr old Evans was batting .292 in 45 games with Double-A Binghamton. He leaves the Bmets with 8 HRs, 31 RBI in 171 ABs.
Hat tip to Nick!
