Mets Call Up Evans

With the Mets all heading to the DL, it was only a matter of time before the Mets started to make some moves. Nick Evans was pulled from tonight's game in Binghamton during the ninth inning. Evans has the capability to play 1st base and left field. Evans will fly to Denver in Saturday morning to meet up with the team.

The 22-yr old Evans was batting .292 in 45 games with Double-A Binghamton. He leaves the Bmets with 8 HRs, 31 RBI in 171 ABs.

Hat tip to Nick!

Looks like this will be Willie's last weekend as Mets manager. That won't solve all the problems though...
