New Years Resolutions for the 2008 Mets
First of all I’d like to wish everyone out there a belated Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all of us at Global New York Mets.
Secondly I’d like to apologize for the site not being updated as frequently as it should. One of the major drawbacks of being a site run by college students means major slowdowns during finals; that coupled with the holidays and a lack of significant events occurring during the off-season has really slowed down the site.
Anyway, with New Years coming up, I thought it would be a good idea to go through the organization and create some New Years resolutions for everyone, so here it goes…
Omar Minaya: To get a decent player under 40 this off season.
Willie Randolph: To stop being overly confident in players who have large contracts.
Brian Schneider: To make Mets fans forget about Lastings Milledge
Carlos Delgado: To lose 20 pounds
Luis Castillo: To not hurt his knee
Jose Reyes: To not let being on the cover of MLB 2K8 go to his head
David Wright: To win the 2008 NL MVP
Moises Alou: To play more than 100 games
Carlos Beltran: To get “the mole” removed
Ryan Church: To remind everyone that he is not Shawn Green
Pedro Martinez: To return to “old form”
Orlando “El Duque” Hernandez: To figure out how old he really is
John Maine: To prove 2007 wasn’t a fluke
Oliver Perez: To prove 2005 was a fluke
Mike Pelfrey: To not get traded
Phillip Humber: See Mike Pelfrey
Aaron Heilman: To start at least 1 game in 2008
Pedro Feliciano: To prove he is more valuable than a “lefty specialist”
Joe Smith: To do his best Chad Bradford impression
Scot Schoeneweis: To never hear the name Bloweneweis ever again
Duaner Sanchez: To steer clear of all taxicabs
Jorge Sosa: To make some other New York fans say “Hip Hip Jor-ge!!!”
Billy Wagner: To show why he’s “the real” sandman
Carlos Gomez: To beat Jose Reyes in a foot race
Endy Chavez: To appear in an AIG commercial
Happy New Year Everyone
