Pedro inching closer
Pedro Martinez made his 4th rehab start earlier tonight in Port St. Lucie, Florida, with the Class-A Mets. The results continue to show Pedro is progressively getting better. Martinez allowed one unearned run in six innings, while allowing 5 hits. He threw 52 of his 88 pitches for strikes. More on the outing and reaction from Pedro can be found here.
All indications suggest Pedro will make at least one more rehab start, most likely in Florida, before returning to New York. If that is the case, keep your eye on the home series against the Astros. That may be the weekend we see a Pedro return.

lets go pedro!!!
i am so relieved that they are moving as slow as humanly possible with pedro... I've said since day 1 Pedro shouldn't get one start before September 1st of this season, lets make sure that arm is fully fully and totally healed.
