Goodbye June, Hello July

The Mets started off the month of June playing the worst baseball they have played in the last few years... to make matters worse they were facing 6 of last year's playoff teams all back to back, and two series against the second place Phillies.

The Mets went 4-14 their first 18 games of the month, and luckily were able to hold first place in the division thanks to the horrible start by the Phillies, and the bad play of the braves this month as well.

Then for no reason at all, towards the end of the month, the mets got hot winning 8 of their remaining 9 games of the month, to finish out the month at 12-15.

The Mets will look to ditch the June swoon in the month of July, a month in which the Mets will play teams like the Rockies, Astros, Reds, Pirates and Nationals. With the Mets playing all these weak teams, July should be a month to look forward to. In addition, the offense should continue to show up as they will play in 3 of the league's best hitters parks leading up to the all star game, in which the mets expect to have 3 starters, and possibly 5 players participate in.

July is also the month of the much anticipated Global NYM day at Shea to be attended by 51 of our members.

Goodbye June... Hello July
