About Global NYM
The Global New York Mets Fan Group was established on July 7th, 2006 with the launch of Facebook's new Global group feature. Over 14,000 members, 800 discussion topics, 15,000 wall posts and 1,000 pictures later, the Global New York Mets Fan group has become one of the fastest growing and most active forums for Mets baseball not only on Facebook, but the entire internet.
With daily Mets discussion, trade rumors, recent news, daily opinions from baseball fans around the world, and our very own in-game discussions, Global New York Mets is THE site for every mets fan to get their daily dosage of the New York Mets.
The next logical move was to create a venue where all mets fans could participate in a similar forum without having to be a member of the Facebook community.
And so, the Global New York Mets Fan Blog was born...

I would even discuss how the group organized global day & has provided mets fans a place to network, as far as tickets, etc. I alos think maye it's worth nothing that we have a huge collection of Mets photos...what are we at now, 1000 I think.
Obviously only if that works into the idea of your article. The blog is looking good...
